It was a remarkable night of splendour and excitement as the Tafawa Balewa
Square TBS was filled to the bream with massive crowd across the globe to
celebrate the experience 2012, yesterday 7 December.
The experience is the largest gospel concert in the wold. Last year
witnessed the attendance of over 500,000 people. This year was amazing; an
estimate of 700,000 people was recorded.
This yearly gospel concert, which is convened by Pastor Paul Adefarasin,
of the House on the Rock Church, with branches all over the world, has become a
rallying point for Christians of all denominations, creed, and colour, and non-Christians
alike. It takes place in December, and has become an event which hundreds of
thousands of people look forward to with unparalleled excitement.
Some prominent artistes in attendance include Don Moen, Israel Houghton, Fred Hammond, Micah Stampley, Chevelle
Franklin, Dietrick Haddon, and the Soweto gospel singers. The indigenous
artistes who performed were: Sammie
Okposo, popular saxophonist, Mike
Aremu, Pastor Wale Adenuga, Timi Dakolo, and a host of others.
