OLU MAINTAIN BAGS BEST REGGAE VIDEO AT NMVA AWARDS
Multiple
awards winning Nigerian artiste, Olumide Adegbulu popularly known as Olu
Maintain has added another feather to his cap. Few weeks after winning Best
Video of The Year at the Nigeria Entertainment Awards in New-York, Olu Maintan
on Thursday last week at the sixth annual Nigeria Music Video Awards won the
Best Reggae/Dancehall Video of the year with the top rated video of his popular
hit, Nawti.
Olu had two
nominations, Best Video of the Year and Best Reggae Video of the year. He
however lost the Video of The Year and went home with Best Reggae/Dancehall
Video of the year plaque.
A day after
the awards in Lagos, Olu Maintain also made an appearance at the EME Baddest
Concert. While performing Big Boy with Banky W, a song originally written by
eLDee Da Don featuring both artistes, the crowd went wild for Olu and
eventually requested that he performed Nawti. The performance of Nawti was
described by all as one of the major high points of the evening. Being the
first major performance of the song since its release, the crowd, especially
the ladies took out time to dance to the melodious rhythm of the song. And
being a versatile artiste, Olu didn’t fail to impress with his stage craft.
Having been
silent for a while, Olu has been working on some fresh materials that will soon
hit the airwaves.
